Drilling rig is a machinery that is widely used in prospecting, railways, highways, bridges, water conservancy and hydropower, tunnels, water well construction, bolts, core drilling, industrial and civil construction, engineering geological exploration, ground source thermal drilling, coalbed methane drilling.
The mining industry refers to the extraction of naturally occurring minerals such as solids (such as coal and minerals), liquids (such as crude oil) or gases (such as natural gas). Including underground or above-ground excavation, operation of mines, and all auxiliary tasks for processing raw materials generally performed at or near the mine site, such as grinding, beneficiation and processing, are all activities in this category. Drilling is just one of the steps.
Drilling rigs are divided into underground drilling rigs, surface drilling rigs, anchoring drilling rigs, exploration drilling rigs, water well drilling rigs, rotary drilling rigs, directional drilling rigs,non-directional drilling rigs etc. Surface drilling rigs, underground drilling rigs and exploration drilling rigs are mainly used in mining. Rotary drills are mainly used in construction projects.
Surface drilling rigs are divided into down-the-hole drilling rigs and top hammer drilling rigs according to their workmanship. Open-pit drilling rigs are divided into down-the-hole drilling rigs and top hammer drilling rigs according to their workmanship. The drilling speed of the top hammer drill is fast, but the vertical precision of the deep hole is low, and the drilling tool cost is high. Compared with top hammer drills, down-the-hole drills have slower drilling speeds.
